A founding member of
"The Free Readers Ensemble",
Miriam has been involved in theater since the 6th grade. She was a
member of the Oak Park Village Players for over 30 years,
where she could be seen on stage in roles including: Mama Morton in
"Chicago", Reno Sweeney in "Anything Goes", Queen Aggravin in "Once
Upon a Mattress", Maggie in "Shadow Box", Thor in "ER", and "Godspell".
Miriam served on the Board of Directors at the Village Players
for 5 years. She also worked behind the scenes directing, stage
managing, set decorating, designing properties, and running
lights and sound.
Other stage credits include Vera in "Mame" with Oak Park Musical 
Theatre, Stella in "Follies", and "Jerry's Girls" with Wheaton
Drama Inc., Rose in "Steppin' Out" and Bubbie in "Crossing
Delancy" with Village Theatre Guild, and in "Vendetta"
at Circle Theatre.
Miriam has also performed for 10 years in a 1940's USO revue called
"Any Bonds Today" with Bugle Boy Productions. |
